Technical writing is entering a new era where AI agents are becoming active collaborators in documentation workflows.
As organizations adopt AI-powered content creation, technical writers are no longer just producing documentation; they are also defining the processes, standards, and knowledge structures that AI systems follow.
This webinar explores two emerging concepts that are rapidly shaping the future of documentation teams: Skills.md files and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
A Skill acts as a reusable instruction set that captures a technical writer’s expertise, including workflows, information architecture, editorial guidelines, style rules, templates, and documentation best practices.
Instead of repeatedly explaining how documentation should be created, reviewed, and maintained, writers can package this knowledge into a structured skill that AI agents can consistently execute.
An MCP Server extends these capabilities by connecting AI agents directly to documentation systems and tools.
It allows AI assistants to perform real actions, such as creating articles, updating content, retrieving information, validating documentation, and publishing updates while following the guidance defined in the skill.
Join this webinar with Selvaraaju Murugesan, Senior Director – Data Science at Kovai.co, where you will see how the two fit together, why skills are becoming a core deliverable for technical writing teams, and how to start building your own.
Key takeaways
- Understand what a skill is and what it captures: workflows, information architecture, style guide, and templates
- Watch a skill get built from scratch, so you know how to create your own
- See an MCP server connect that skill to your documentation platform.
- Run a real workflow end-to-end, from prompt to published output.
