Compare

How Document360 compares

Four honest comparisons, and the cases where you should pick something else.

For the committee

Document360 vs SharePoint

  • Structure, search and versioning built in, not folders of files.
  • Public, private and partner access in one branded site.
  • Feeds an AI assistant from clean content, not scattered docs.

Document360 vs Word & PDF manuals

  • Web-searchable, not a 200-page file only one person edits.
  • Update once and publish, no re-sending files for each change.
  • Version control and analytics, not a folder of final_v7 files.

Document360 vs Confluence

  • Purpose-built help center, not a wiki bolted into Jira.
  • AI native to the KB, not credit-rationed.
  • SSO and security included, not a paid add-on.

Document360 vs Zendesk Guide

  • Best-of-breed KB depth, not a module in a support suite.
  • Multi-version and multi-language, granular workflows.
  • Bulk edits without needing a developer.

FAQ – from real calls

Questions buyers actually ask

Taken from evaluation calls, answered without the marketing hedge.

  • Is Document360 secure enough for enterprise?

Yes. It is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022 and GDPR compliant, with SSO, granular access control and audit logging, and content encrypted at rest and in transit on Microsoft Azure. It does not claim HIPAA or CCPA, so raise those directly if your review needs them.
  • How do we move off Confluence, SharePoint, Google Docs, Word or PDFs?

Import Word and PDF yourself, or have the team scope a larger migration starting from your article count and structure. Most teams keep their current help center live until the new one is ready, so there is no rushed cutover.
  • Does it have AI, and what is Eddy AI?

Yes. Eddy AI runs across the lifecycle: AI search with cited answers from your own content, an AI chatbot for self-service, and an AI writing suite, plus an MCP server that connects ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot to your knowledge base. A person reviews anything the AI drafts before it publishes.
  • Can non-technical people write in it, or do you need to code?

No code needed. The block editor works like a normal document editor, with tables, callouts, images and reusable templates. Writers who prefer Markdown or a code view can switch, but those are options, not a requirement.
  • How is it different from Confluence, Notion or Zendesk Guide?

It is built for a branded, customer-facing or mixed help center with AI search and authoring built in. Confluence is an Atlassian-native internal wiki, Notion a flexible workspace, and Zendesk Guide a lighter module inside a support suite.
  • Can it run a public help center and a private internal KB together?

Yes. Public, private and mixed sites live in one project, with reader groups and content-level access control deciding per site, category and reader who sees what. That mixed model is a common reason teams switch.
