Track feedback in your documentation
Feedback manager pulls article ratings, unanswered search queries, and Eddy AI answer feedback into one queue.
Trusted by thousands of businesses across 150+ countries
How the feedback loop works
01
Receive
Readers rate articles, flag failed searches, and rate AI answers.
02
Assess
Filter by type, status, date, and source to find what matters.
03
Assign
Give each item an owner. It shows up on their tasks page.
04
Address
Fix the article, track progress, and keep notes in one thread.
05
Notify
Tell the reader it’s done. That’s how trust gets built.
Capture article feedback where the reading happens
- Track status like need more information, inaccurate or irrelevant content, difficult to understand, missing/broken link, or others.
- Up to 1,000 characters of comment, plus an opt-in to hear back when the article is updated.
- On private and mixed projects, logged-in reader’s emails are prefilled, so you always know who to reply to.
See what readers searched for and couldn’t find
- When a search comes back empty, readers can describe what they were trying to find.
- Each query lands in the unanswered queries tab, ready to assign, track and close.
- Review it weekly and you’ll know which article to write next, and which keywords your existing ones are missing.
Find out where your AI answers fall short
- Answered queries: Likes and dislikes on Eddy AI responses, so you can judge answer quality.
- Unanswered queries: Questions Eddy AI couldn’t answer, pointing straight at missing content.
- Filter by application to separate knowledge base site feedback from Knowledge base assistant feedback.
Triage documentation feedback like a support queue
- Assign feedback to any contributor, one item at a time or in bulk.
- Move items through open, planned, in-progress, complete and closed. The total count tracks only what’s still open.
- Filter by assignee, feedback type, status and date range, from the last 7 days to a custom window.
Turn reader feedback into better documentation, on purpose
Without Document360
- Feedback is scattered across tickets, chat and email, and nobody owns it.
- Thumbs-down ratings pile up with no reason attached.
- Failed searches are invisible, so content gaps stay hidden.
- Readers who reported a problem never hear back.
- No record of what was fixed, when, or by whom.
With Document360
- Article, search and AI feedback in one Feedback manager.
- Every dislike comes with a reason and a comment.
- Unanswered queries tell you exactly what to write next.
- Readers get an email when their feedback is resolved.
- Every item has an owner, a status, and a full history.

FAQs
-
How do readers leave feedback on a documentation article?
At the end of each article readers choose Yes or No. Yes counts as a like with an optional comment. No counts as a dislike, and readers pick a reason: Need more information, Inaccurate or irrelevant content, Difficult to understand, Missing/broken link, or Others.
-
Can I track searches that returned no results?
Yes. When a search returns nothing, readers can describe what they were looking for. Those submissions appear in the Unanswered queries tab, where you can assign and track them like any other feedback.
-
Does the Feedback manager include Eddy AI feedback?
Yes. Eddy AI feedback is split into Answered queries, with likes and dislikes on AI responses, and Unanswered queries, which Eddy AI couldn’t answer.
-
What statuses can feedback have?
Open, Planned, In progress, Complete and Closed. The total feedback count reflects only Open, Planned and In progress items.
-
Can I reply to the reader who left feedback?
Yes. Use Add note & notify reader in Discussion & history, or close items with Close & notify reader. Readers who ticked Notify me about updates get your response by email.
-
Can I export documentation feedback?
Yes. Feedback from the last 90 days can be exported as a CSV file.
-
Where do I turn the feedback form on or off?
In your knowledge base site’s article settings, under Article bottom, use the Show feedback form toggle.
