At Document360, we believe that good documentation is not just helpful, but also transformational. Behind the products that have successfully been onboarded, all the enabled customers, and all the effortless help experience, there is a person who makes all that a reality with content.
This is the reason why we are pleased to introduce – Document360 Global Writers Awards – an awards program that recognizes the top 50 technical writers and documentation experts around the globe.
This is beyond recognition. It is a celebration of thought leadership, to acknowledge innovation, and to give an international dimension of exposure to the individuals who are changing the way knowledge is created, communicated, and consumed.
The Reason Behind Document360 Global Writers Awards
Through the Document360 Global Writers Award, we are both serving and shedding some light upon the emerging community and culture of documentation practitioners that are at the forefront of contemporary content practice.
Document360 is a knowledge management platform that is closely related to the world of documentation. We are living in the day and age when clear, user-oriented content is critical in business success.
Meanwhile, we also understand that those who stand behind this work remain unknown most of the time.
We’ve created this initiative to:
- Recognize excellence in technical writing and documentation strategy
- Celebrate the global impact of documentation professionals
- Amplify the visibility of leaders in the documentation space
It is not simply an award. It is a global stage of recognition, visibility, and opportunity.
What You Gain by Participating in This?
At its core, the Document360 Global Writers Awards is in fact a celebration of the individuals creating the content – the writers, strategists, and documentation professionals who help products work, users develop confidence, and teams become easier to operate.
However, more than the recognition, this platform will be able to provide you with something that endures a bit longer, which is visibility, connection, and opportunities that will help you become a better documentation professional.
International Recognition That Travels With You
Getting nominated/selected as one of the Top 50 is a way of being noticed, not by your direct group or organization, but by a community of peers, hiring managers, and leaders throughout the industries all over the world.
The nominees and winners will be promoted throughout the digital platforms of Document360. This includes:
- A dedicated interactive blog highlighting the Top 50 writers, their profiles, and standout contributions.
- Custom social media showcases with personalized graphics and shout-outs across Document360 channels.
Exclusive Rewards for Winners
The winners of the Global Writers Awards will get more than just a mention. In order to mark the success and make it shareable:
- The winners will be presented with personalized digital certificates and badges that can be shown on LinkedIn, portfolios, or personal websites.
- A curated set of Document360-branded goodies will be sent your way to celebrate the win.
Long-Term Visibility That Goes Beyond the Award
We believe that recognition should open opportunities and continue to amplify your work after the awards wrap up. That’s why we’re also:
- Inviting a few of our nominees to our podcast and video interviews, and getting a deeper insight into their work, process, and outlook.
You could be just starting out in your career, or you could be an experienced lead. This platform is created to showcase your work and to ensure it reaches as many people as possible.

Selection Criteria
Document360 Global Writers Awards is no mere badge of honor – it is a chance to acknowledge those people who are redefining what good documentation should entail. This is why our selection process is meant to be considerate, inclusive and based on actual impact.
We have developed a two-step process of evaluation that is balanced between expert review and community acknowledgment so that proven excellence and peer support will be included in the final decision-making.
Jury Evaluation: A Closer Look at the Criteria
Each nomination will be examined by a team of seasoned experts with years of experience in what actually constitutes effective and powerful documentation, such as senior technical writers, documentation heads, and content strategists.
There are four main pillars that the jury will consider when nominating:
- Innovation
Has the nominee introduced new thoughts or new tools in his or her practice of documentation? This might be as little as new technologies or structures, or something creative that enhances ease of use or accessibility.
- Clarity
Technical writing revolves around simplifying the complex. We are seeking a proven skill to convey technical content in a manner that is clear, precise and in a manner that enables the end-user.
- Impact
What are the results made possible by the work of the nominee? It could be product adoption, customer onboarding, or team efficiency, but we would love to see records that have produced a quantifiable change.
- Influence
Great writers are usually people who are active in their communities. This can be through mentoring others, writing articles or talks, events, or collaborating with documentation-related forums and sites.
All these will be backed by the information provided on the nomination form, such as the work samples, references, and the information on the work contribution that they have made.
Public Voting: Power to the Community
After the jury has examined all entries, a short list of nominees will enter into the public voting phase. This is where the larger community of documentation and technology may intervene by providing a vote of those writers whom they appreciate or have learned something.
The voting process will take place on a special platform and will be actively promoted in the channels of Document360. Public votes will be significant in determining the top 50 list, particularly in the areas of measuring reach, influence, and community support even though the final decision will remain with the jury.
The idea behind it is to highlight a wide range of authors – behind-the-scenes experts, community activists, etc., who are contributing to defining the future of product content.
Whether you’re nominating yourself or someone else, we encourage you to share not just the output, but the story behind the work.
The Nomination Process
We’ve kept the nomination process simple and inclusive because we want to make it easy for great documentation work to be seen, no matter where it comes from.
Anyone can participate in the Document360 Global Writers Awards, whether you’re putting your own work forward or recognizing someone whose documentation has made an impact.
You can:
Nominate yourself if you’d like to be considered as one of the Top 50 writers
Nominate someone else, if you know a colleague, peer, or mentor whose work deserves recognition
We have made the nomination process both easy and open, since we want to make it easy to see great work in documentation, regardless of the source.
Step 1: Submit a Nomination
Everyone is eligible to join the Document360 Global Writers Awards, whether by submitting your own writing or nominating someone whose documentation has done something.
You can:
Nominate yourself if you’d like to be considered as one of the Top 50 writers
Nominate someone else, if you know a colleague, peer, or mentor whose work deserves recognition
The nomination form is concise and simple and has ample room to provide samples of work, professional achievements, and the nomination story.
Self-nominations would consist of your present position, experience, and why your work deserves recognition. In case you are nominating another person, you can either complete the full application on their behalf or provide their contact information so that we can contact them and complete the application.
Step 2: Spread the Word
After nominating someone, we would like you to promote it in your circles – on social media, in your team, or at industry associations. This aids in giving your work (or the nominee) publicity and creates momentum before the common people cast their votes.
Step 3: Vote and Participate
Upon the announcement of the shortlist, the public voting will open. This is your chance to engage with the broader documentation community and support the writers you admire. The final Top 50 will be selected based on a combination of jury evaluation and community voting.
