How to create a project on Crowdin?

The integration between Document360 and Crowdin is forthright and flawless as stated below.

Let’s make sure that you’re an active user on Crowdin or create a new account on the website https://accounts.crowdin.com/register. Once you’re on the platform, go along with the guidelines below to make a new project.

Creating a project in crowdin workspace

  • Log in to your Crowdin organization account and go to your Crowdin workspace.
  • Click on the Create a Project button (+) on the right-hand bottom of the screen.
  • In the Project name field, type in the name of your project.
  • Next select the source language of your project.
  • Select the target languages that are attached to the versions in your project.
  • Choose a workflow that charts out the flow of content within your project.
  • Select from any of the four translation options based on your need.
  • In the MT Engine field, select the Crowdin Translate option.
  • Click on the Create project button.

Document360 integration with Crowdin project

  • Select the created Crowdin project, you’ll be taken to the project dashboard.
  • On the dashboard side menu, navigate to Resources and select Integrations & API.
  • From the list of integration options available select Document360 application.
  • Now, the application would require an API token from Document360.
  • To fetch the API token, go to Document360 and log in to the portal.
  • Go to Settings → Knowledge base portal → API tokens.
  • Type in the Token name in the field.
  • Select the options required in the Allowed Method(s) field (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE).
  • Click on the Generate button and copy the generated API token.

  • Navigate to the Document360 app on the Crowdin integration page.
  • Paste the copied token in the field and press enter.

Acquiring API token from Crowdin

From your Crowdin workspace, select the Crowdin project configured with your Document360 knowledge base.

  • Click on your Profile from the top right corner and select Account settings.
  • Select the Access tokens and in the Personal Access Tokens section click on the new token button.
  • Type in the Token name; select All scopes and click on the Create button at the bottom.
  • You’d be asked to verify by login screen.
  • Your access token has been created. Click on the icon to copy the token.
  • Navigate to Document360 Settings → Knowledge base portal → Extensions, select the Translation & Browser extension tab, and select Crowdin.
  • Paste the copied access token in the API key section.
  • Type in the Organization name from your Crowdin account.
  • Click on the save button and you’re good to go.
  • You can now use the Push to Crowdin option from Document360.
